Trish Tougas - High School Yearbook
I received my BA in Communications from Western Washington University in the mid–80's. I started my teaching career in 2001 in Seward, Alaska, where I worked as an emergency substitute teacher at Seward Elementary School. Upon our return to Poulsbo in 2002, I began working at Gateway School as a substitute teacher, and later assumed the duties of the technology teacher for grades K-8. This year at Crosspoint I teach middle school computers and Bible, and High School yearbook.
I grew up in Marysville, WA, where I was very active in sports. I met my husband while working as a tour guide in Alaska. We were married in 1987 and have been blessed with four children, the youngest a senior this year at Crosspoint. We have attended Calvary Chapel in Silverdale our entire married life, and have been active in Sunday school, Women's ministry and other ministries over the years My favorite saying is "Think outside the box," as I like to challenge my students to go beyond what they know and are comfortable with so they can truly discover the unique gifts and abilities that God has blessed them with. The scripture verse that I rely on, and the one that gives me the encouragement I need to push through any challenge is Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
