Tammy Keffer, Secondary Music
I am coming back to full time teaching after a crazy whirlwind of full time ministry work. I received a degree and teaching certificate in Music Education from the University of Washington (GO DAWGS!) and then started teaching in the CK School District. I love a challenge and have had the opportunity to teach band, jazz band, choir, strings and classroom music throughout the years. After having children I really wanted to work part time and I left teaching to be the Worship and Music Director at Lincoln Avenue Bible Church for 10 years. Teaching private flute and playing in local musical theater were a joy to me during the crazy child raising years. At Crosspoint I will be teaching Band, Choir, and Graphic Design.
Currently, I reside in Poulsbo but I grew up in Bremerton. My connections and family have deep roots in Kitsap County and I am excited to be a part of this ever changing community. After college I came home and met my husband, Wayne, and we have been married for 25 years. He is a home builder/remodeler, is super handy and a pretty awesome guy. We have three grown children, Hunter (wife-Mandy), Sierra (husband-Austin) and the youngest, Hudson, is a student at ASU. For the last 13 years I have been on the Senior Ministry staff at Peninsula Bible Fellowship as the COO and Director of Care Ministry. My husband and I attend Peninsula Bible Fellowship where I will be co-directing the Bremerton Royal Family Kids' Camp which is a camp for local foster kids. I love hosting dinner parties, being crafty, drinking coffee, camping and laughing. No matter where the Lord leads I am ready to run in see what He has for me. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.
