Sue Sheline - H.S. & M.S. Math
STEM Department Head
Cross County and Track Coach
I have been involved in Christian education from 1989 to 2010 and from 2013 to the present time. I received my B.A. in elementary education from Concordia University in Portland, Oregon. I currently hold a teaching certificate for Kindergarten through 8th grade in all subjects and fourth through 12th grade mathematics. I currently teach a wide variety of math classes here at Crosspoint, and am the STEM (Science/Technology/Engineering/Math) Department Head, the Cross Country and Track & Field assistant coach, and also work as a class advisor.
I was born in Evanston, Illinois where I lived until the age of seven, and later lived in Idaho until I graduated from college. I made my first home in Bremerton, Washington where I lived from 1989-2010. In 2010 my husband had a wonderful opportunity to take a job overseas so our family moved to Naples, Italy for three years. While living in Naples, I had the opportunity to teach at the Department of Defense school on base. I have been married to my husband, Dennis, for 21 years, and we have two beautiful daughters, Amber, who recently graduated from Crosspoint, and Mary, who will be a sophomore this year. I believe that mathematics is just one small "window" into understanding more of God's marvelous creation. It is my desire that students will not only come to enjoy math but they will understand how math can reveal more about God and His creation. Isaiah 40:26 states "Look up into the heavens. Who created all the stars? He beings them out like an army, one after another, calling each by name. Because of his great power and incomparable strength, not a single one is missing."
