Robin Walter - First Grade
I wanted to be an elementary teacher for as long as I can remember. I began my dream career after completing a BA in Elementary Education from Western Washington University and a Fifth Year program at Seattle Pacific University. I have taught almost all elementary grades and even a few years in middle school, and I am now teaching First Graders at our Crosspoint campus. This is my 14th year of classroom teaching, plus I have 8 years of substitute teaching experience.
My husband and I grew up in Kitsap County and attended this school when it was called Bremerton Christian School. He is now a pastor at Cornerstone Church in Silverdale, and I enjoy working there in various church ministries. We have been a Crosspoint family for many years: my two daughters graduated from Crosspoint and my son is a 5th grade student here this year. I feel truly blessed to be a part of the Gateway Christian Schools community and believe God specifically guided me here to teach. I love working with first graders. They experience learning with such fresh enthusiasm and delight. It is a joy for me to journey with them as they grow, develop, and learn more about God's creation and plan for their lives.
