Ken Ebersole - H.S. Science & ASB Advisor
Christian Education has been a second calling for me, following a career in the U. S. Navy. I hold a B.S. in Oceanography from the United States Naval Academy, and a M.S. in Meteorology & Oceanography from the Naval Postgraduate School. I have been a teacher in Christian Education for 17 years, 11 of those at Crosspoint Academy. My teaching responsibilities involve high school science. I also function as an assistant administrator in the school, my primary role being the Elementary coordinator. I am the ASB Advisor, and I teach an SAT Preparation course through the Princeton Review.
I am originally from Fresno, California, and owing to my naval career, have lived on both coasts, as well as in Spain and England, and have served on two aircraft carriers: USS Coral Sea (CV-43) and USS America (CV-66). Karen and I were married in 1987 while we were both serving in the Navy in Spain. We have one grown son, Alex, who is a nuclear engineer at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. We worship at Calvary Chapel of Silverdale. I have a sign in my classroom that simply says, "Amazed by His Handiwork." My goal in teaching science is to help students see that God's Special Revelation (the Bible) and His General Revelation (Science & Nature) are in total harmony when approached with awe and reverence.
