Hillary Sexauer - High School ESL & Drama Production
Since I was a young girl, I have always been fascinated with traveling and learning about different cultures. That love combined with a strong desire to be a teacher led me to pursue TESOL, teaching English to speakers of other languages. I received an Associates of Arts from Olympic College and went on to receive my teaching certification in TESOL from Western Washington University. I knew that I wanted to use my teaching to not only share knowledge of the English language, but also the love and joy that comes with a relationship with Jesus Christ. I have been teaching for one year at Crosspoint (my alma mater), as well as being a mission trip leader and the producer of Performance Company.
I was born in San Diego, California, a Navy brat, and so had the opportunity to live in many different places before my mother and I settled down in Silverdale. I am so happy to be back living in Kitsap County and to be able to work at the school that made such a positive impact on my life. I attend Cornerstone Alliance Church in Poulsbo. I try and live my life like Isaiah 6:8, which says, "Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" And I said, "Here am I. Send me!" and Mark 16:15, He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation." My goal in teaching is to use the English language to successfully communicate the gospel to all people of the world and to always have a willing heart to do as the Lord calls me.
