Ellen Baxter - Fifth Grade
High School Volleyball
I graduated from Bremerton Christian School (Crosspoint) in 1989, having spent nine years in the school. I graduated from Central Washington University in 1993 with honors, majoring in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education. I have been teaching in some capacity since 1993 in all grades K-8, primarily in Christian schools. Currently, I teach 5th grade and coach high school volleyball.
I have called Kitsap County my home for the majority of my life. I was born and raised in Keyport, Washington and have lived all over the county, in Coupeville, and out of state in beautiful San Diego. Currently, I live in Manette near my mother. I have two amazing children, Emma and Aydan, both students at Crosspoint. We attend NewLife at Klahowya. One of my favorite quotes comes from Eric Liddell (Chariots of Fire). He said, "I believe God made me for a purpose, but he also made me fast. And when I run, I feel his pleasure." Insert "teach" and you have a part of my story. One of my favorite verses I share with students from day one is, "being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." (Philippians 1:6)
